Speaking • Workshops • Coaching

Trip's messages, workshops, and coaching are grounded in four decades of ministry experience through serving the Lord in almost every possible way you can imagine—from maintenance to mentoring. See below for more about him and his ministry.

Speaking & teaching

The Essential Gospel is an important passion for Trip. He loves to teach on all aspects of the Essential Gospel and wrote about it in his book—The Mystery of the Gospel. Trip's goal is to make the truth clear and simple without sacrificing its depth. He uses biblical storying as an engaging and refreshing way to share God's Story. His love for Inductive Bible Study is the foundation for his expositional teaching.

Here are some samples of his teaching—

I’ve known Trip Kimball for almost 30 years … as a friend, an encourager to me and others, and now as part of our team with Poimen Ministries. Trip is all about what he is about. He is a pastor, a mentor, a writer, a discipler.
He’s a man of high character and lives what he teaches. He’s passionate about the ministry the Lord has given him. Focused. Everything he does in ministry passes first through the grid of making disciples. If it will help make a person a more committed follower of Jesus, Trip will say “yes.”
I trust Trip. That’s the bottom line for me. I would go to battle with him in any situation.

Discipleship & Leadership

Discipleship—following the example of Jesus—is a cornerstone of ministry for Trip, as it's been since he started following and serving Jesus. He firmly believes solid leadership develops from the foundation of intentional, relational discipleship as a way of life.

He serves alongside 10 other pastors with Poimen Ministries who focus primarily on coaching and mentoring pastors, conducting assessments, and pastoral transitions.

Here are some topics and focuses of ministry he offers—

  • Reaching the Next Generation the Way Jesus Did

  • Developing a Men's Ministry that Replicates Leaders

  • Assisting and Serving in Ministry

  • The Character and Calling of a Servant-Leader

Trip Kimball has spoken many times in our missionary training schools...in both our discipleship schools and leadership schools.
His material has been very helpful and practical for our students...always biblically solid and Trip makes it understandable.
Because most of our students are college age, it is necessary for those who speak to be relevant and to have an engaging presentation. Trip does well with this too. I highly recommend Trip as a speaker.
