The Christian faith is not a set of abstract beliefs. A confession of faith is more than words and thoughts written out or spoken.
Genuine Christian faith is anchored in Jesus. Not only what is believed in Him as the Christ, the Messiah, the Savior of the world, but in relationship with Him.
Genuine Christianity is centered on the person of Jesus Christ, not a set of doctrines to be practiced or beliefs to hold. The book of Hebrews makes this very clear.

So all of you holy brothers and sisters, who were called by God, think about Jesus, who was sent to us and is the high priest of our faith.
Jesus was faithful to God as Moses was in God’s family. Jesus has more honor than Moses, just as the builder of a house has more honor than the house itself. Every house is built by someone, but the builder of everything is God himself. [vss 1-4]
Moses was faithful in God’s family as a servant, and he told what God would say in the future. But Christ is faithful as a Son over God’s house. And we are God’s house if we confidently maintain our hope.[vss 1-6]

Reflection...
Moses was the focal point of the Old Covenant relationship with God through the Law. But Moses, the great leader of Israel, was a servant of God.
Jesus is the only Son of God, equal in nature to His Father. He's the Creator, the builder, of the universe and the church (Col 1:15-20).
The church isn't an institution governed by spiritual leaders, but a community of believers whose common focus of worship and trust is Jesus.
Faith—true, authentic faith—is an active, relational trust in Jesus. It's a confident, living hope in Him that brings internal, spiritual transformation in our life.
Jesus—who He is and His work of redemption—is our confession of faith. Simple. Personal. Essential. Anything more, or less, is mere man-made religion.
Being faithful to God requires trust. Christian believers remain part of His household, His family, as we hold onto our confidence in Him. But how do we do this on a daily basis and practical way?
This is where our faith, our trust, in Jesus becomes real. Circumstances in life, relationships with people, and our own internal struggles will challenge our trust in Jesus.
So, we need to personally work out how we trust in Jesus on a daily basis. Then our hope and confidence in Jesus will remain strong.
