Alone to Rest

The apostles gathered around Jesus. They reported to him everything they had done and taught. So he said to them, “Let’s go to a place where we can be alone to rest for a while.” Many people were coming and going, and Jesus and the apostles didn’t even have a chance to eat. So they went away in a boat to a place where they could be alone. (ZMark 6:30-32 GW) Jesus made time to rest and be alone. We need to follow His example. Many things are not done well because we are too busy and preoccupied. God created us with the need to be alone with Him and experience true rest. ©Word-Strong_2014
