When one of the other priests died, he could not continue being a priest [under the Old Covenant]. So there were many priests.But because Jesus lives forever, he will never stop serving as priest. What great assurance and comfort! Because Jesus is eternal—resurrected from the dead—He is alive and able to help us. He even intercedes for us—prays for us as a high priest—whether we sleep or are awake, and even when we ignore Him. How amazing is God's kindness and care for us! ©Word-Strong_2014
